Since 2019, I’ve been working as a digital editor and content producer for the Swedish Armed Forces, crafting impactful social media content for their main channels. From a global pandemic to a war in Europe, to Sweden’s historic decision to join NATO, I’ve played a part in producing vital content during times of uncertainty and change. Am I proud of my work? Absolutely!

The Mission:
My role is to communicate the mission and activities of the Swedish Armed Forces in an inclusive, accessible, and engaging way through social media content, while also making the organization more attractive and building trust and understanding with the public by showcasing what it’s like to work, train, and serve in the Armed Forces.
AURORA 23
In 2023, Sweden hosted its largest military exercise in decades – Aurora 23. As the video editor, I gathered and crafted impactful content from the combat camera team, producing the official promo video, recurring updates, and informative video content throughout the exercise. I also created the official after-movie, capturing the full scale and significance of Aurora 23.
EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
A large part of my role has been to showcase and explain the mission and activities of the Swedish Armed Forces, making it easy to understand what it’s like to serve and work – all in an inclusive and engaging way. I have also filmed much of this specific content.
TIKTOK-LAUNCH
In fall 2024, the Swedish Armed Forces launched its content on TikTok. I was involved in planning the content strategy together with the agency Nord DDB. Although I haven’t filmed much for the platform since taking a study break right at the launch, I wanted to leave my mark on the channel. Before my break, I filmed and edited a trailer for the YouTube series ‘Krig i vår tid,’ aiming to make the series engaging and easy to digest for a younger audience.
MIDSUMMER PORTRAITS: SWEDISH TRADITION MEETS MILITARY CAMOUFLAGES
Since 2022, we’ve celebrated Swedish Midsummer by posting Midsummer portraits that honor this beloved tradition. As the photographer behind each portrait, I’ve captured the unique blend of Swedish culture and military identity by stylizing soldiers in Midsummer flower wreaths. This creative concept symbolizes the tradition while placing the soldiers in their natural, camouflaged environment among bushes and trees, merging cultural symbolism with military authenticity.

I’m proud to have been part of the transformative journey of the Swedish Armed Forces’ social media content, navigating the new media landscape with more video-driven storytelling. Even more rewarding is seeing my productions generate great reach, engagement, and views – as shown below.
